3D TOOLS / PNG TO STL
Turn a PNG image into new 3D geometry and download the result as an STL for inspection, editing, or slicing.
HOW IT WORKS
Select the PNG image you want to turn into a 3D model.
Generate a new three-dimensional interpretation from the visible image content.
Save the STL, then check its mesh and dimensions before editing, slicing, or printing.

PNG TO STL BASICS
A PNG to STL converter creates new 3D geometry from a two-dimensional PNG image and saves the result as an STL file. It does more than rename the file because a PNG does not contain a 3D mesh.
Yes. You can create a new three-dimensional interpretation from a PNG image. A single image does not show every side or provide reliable depth and real-world dimensions, so review the generated shape before using it.
STL primarily stores triangle-based surface geometry and does not preserve the PNG as a standard color texture. Review color and material requirements separately for your intended workflow.
Choose a PNG image, create the 3D geometry, download the STL, and inspect its mesh and dimensions in compatible 3D software or a slicer.
Not necessarily. PNG transparency is not STL geometry. Whether transparent pixels help define the generated shape or remove the image background depends on the production workflow.
Not automatically. Check the dimensions, watertightness, non-manifold geometry, minimum feature size, wall thickness, orientation, supports, and slicer settings for your printer and material before printing.
